In response to a call from the United States Superintendent of Documents, Francis J. Buckley, Jr., in August 2001, librarians from Federal Depository Libraries in the State of California began to draft a State Plan to assist in coordinating the statewide collection and preservation of U.S. government information distributed through the Federal Depository Library Program. This web site hosts the documents, working drafts, and resources associated with development of the California State Plan.
